Meet my loyal companion, Archibald Underporch! He's a deeply serious chipmunk sporting an impossibly oversized bow tie. Archibald is the ultimate straight hoof monk to my over the top theatricality. While I'm bouncing off the walls orchestrating a flash mob parade, Archibald is right by my ankle keeping things grounded with a skeptical twitch of his whiskers.

Beneath the confetti cannons and rhyming couplets, I live with profound, heavy battles with deep depression and mental illness. Inheriting the intense sensitivity of both my parents means that when the music stops, the silence can sometimes feel deafening.
Archibald doesn't try to force a smile on my face when things get dark; he just curls up next to me on the back porch. Through my poetry, I give voice to the shadows as well as the light, proving that beauty and healing exist even in the quietest, most vulnerable spaces.
